Hey fandom, see the word spreading about the season ending. As much as we want this to be a neverending sitcom, the reality of what this production is makes that not exactly possible. But here’s some info so you aren’t wondering, feel free to ask questions.
- There will be SIX episodes in this arc vs. the five episodes the last two arcs. So there are 6 more weeks of brand new web series episodes, to conclude with the sixth TV length version.
- The weekly content will continue as normal, with the last episode of The Mosh being the Friday after the TV length version (though it may be a different kind of episode, stay tuned)
- Once everything winds down there will still be new content on the MyMusic channel, we’re determining just how much, but we will drop the 4th wall in between seasons which was always the plan - stay fully inside the world during the narrative, then drop the wall so that we can —
- Release behind the scenes! There will be footage from set, interviews with the cast, the crew, etc. We have featurettes in the works that include scope of the project, guest star interviews, even footage some of the cast original auditions, really awesome stuff.
- I also plan to personally do some live streaming if I have the time, and try to get some of the actors to come too to answer questions and maybe even read some of your fanfic in character, or scenes that never got shot but were written etc.
WHAT ABOUT SEASON 2?
What’s so crazy about MyMusic is we will have done 34 episodes, which can be like 6 seasons of a web series, all in one season. We need to wait on YouTube - think of MyMusic as a TV show on FOX, and having to be greenlit for more. As soon as I have any information I will let you know.
Hope you are as excited as we are as we reach the end of year 1, and realize how important all of you were in creating something the first of its kind, that I predict as the years go on many other shows will start emulating what MyMusic innovated - we’ll be counting on all of you to always make sure people know just what we all accomplished together. I first started working on MyMusic over a year ago now, as I wrote the first episode in early November 2011, I never could have imagined we’d have fans like you back then.
Any further questions? Ask it with a “Hey Benny I have a question” inside the MyMusicShow tag and I’ll try to reply sometime in the coming weeks.
Enjoy the new episode tomorrow!
Benny
